More Radio Villains

Right Wing Radio Prostitues Spewing Talking Points - youtube video

Before the latest chapter in the never-ending story of the US shooting rampage, prostitutes in the media were obsessed with the dismissal of radio dinosaur Don Imus. Imus said something stupid and was fired for it. I don't care about Imus, I've never listened to his show, but I disagree with the decision to sack him. I believe in freedom of speech for even the most vile of speakers; if you don't like what they are saying, turn them off. Having said that, there are quite a few despicable radio hosts who continue to broadcast to audiences of millions, despite saying things that are way more offensive than Imus' botched joke. I think that all of the fascists featured in this clip are really terrible people. Glenn Beck for example, is a drunken ideologue whose "solutions" to the world's problems would result in the extinction of the human race. Still, I'll defend his right to spew rhetoric. Banning the words of these people is the top of a slippery slope that ends with muzzles for all.
