To all intents and purposes, the Wahabi religious establishment of Saudi Arabia has just issued a fatwa
against the US dollar...the apparent political aim is to undermine the country’s dollar peg.
"...a very serious risk that fewer people will be able to get food," particularly in the developing world,
said Jacques Diouf, head of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.
"We want to be a friend of America," he says. "Sometimes we get the impression that America
does not need friends" but only "auxiliary subjects to command." Asked if he'd like to correct
any American misconceptions about Russia, Putin leans forward and says, "I don't believe these
are misconceptions. I think this is a purposeful attempt by some to create an image of Russia
based on which one could influence our internal and foreign policies.
...if you just assume that the people running Iran are rational human beings and put yourself
in their shoes, you can pretty easily figure out what their strategic concerns and priorities will be.

US-inspired sanctions against Tehran.
Seven South American countries have founded a development bank as an alternative source of funds to the World Bank
and International Monetary Fund...Chavez earlier blasted the IMF, describing it as "a curse" on the region, and
slammed its "shock politics that have spread hunger, misery, poverty and violence to our peoples."

Loose Change : Final Cut
This is a new version of "Loose Change", perhaps the most widely circulated film in the history of the internet.
This film looks into the inconsistencies of the official story of the events that took place on the 11th of September, 2001.
The story of that day (as told by the government and the news media) defies both common sense and the laws of physics.
For example, burning jet fuel could not have caused two steel-framed buildings to collapse into their own footprints,
into the path of most resistance at nearly free-fall speed. Explanations of key aspects of the official story of the
day range from implausible to impossible. The story is too full of catastrophic failures and remarkable coincidences to be true.
I don't agree with everything put forward in Loose Change, (there are some holes in the film) however, it is still worth
watching. "9-11" has been the catalyst for new wars, a crackdown on civil liberties, and record profits for the "military
industrial complex." I can't say who was responsible for 9-11, though I'm pretty sure that the most powerful air-defence
system in the history of the world could never have been defeated by a gang of cavemen. Watch this movie with an open mind.
